Every year, HACCI is honoured to present the Excellence Awards that seek to acknowledge the achievements of members of our community in their various endeavours.
The award nominees should be generally considered to be highly inspirational and a credit to our Hellenic Australian community.
HACCI thanks all those who took the time and made the effort to submit nominations and recommendations for those among us that deserve recognition.
All nominations are carefully considered by HACCI’s Awards Committee and the winners are decided for the following categories:
In 2017, the six award categories are:
1. The Lifetime Achievement Award
This award recognises lifelong achievement by an individual in his/her chosen field of endeavour and the promotion of Hellenism and the Community. The person receiving this award has provided an outstanding and inspirational contribution to the Community and has contributed to positively influencing and increasing cultural awareness.
2. The Business Excellence Award
This award recognises outstanding achievement by an individual or company in the business or corporate sector. This may include leading products or services in an industry, innovation, invention, excellence in customer service, environmental compliance, corporate governance, financial results, brand recognition and business reputation.
3. The Professional Excellence Award
This award recognises outstanding achievement in a nominated profession or higher level management. Outstanding achievement in an academic/research field or excellence in a management role is also recognised within this category.
4. The Chris Saristavros Young Achievers Award
This Award recognises outstanding achievement by the younger members of the Hellenic Australian Community. Recipients are between 18-35 years old and are an inspirational model for our youth. They have made a significant contribution and have succeeded in their chosen field of endeavour.
5. The Community Service Award
This award recognises outstanding achievement by an individual for serving our Community or the promotion of Hellenism via Community or philanthropic organisations.
6. The Sporting Excellence Award
This award recognises outstanding achievement and significant contribution by an individual in a sporting endeavour. Outstanding representation of the Hellenic Australian Community and the promotion of Hellenism via Community or philanthropic organisations is also considered.
7. The Women of Influence Award
This award recognises outstanding achievement and significant contribution by a Woman of Influence in their respective field of excellence.
